Dawn Chorus Choir rehearses on Mondays (except holiday Mondays) from 10:00am-12:00pm at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church (8420 145 Street NW, Edmonton) and on Zoom for those unable to attend in-person. New members are always welcome!

2023 rehearsals begin again on January 23!!

Our annual season runs from September-May and is split into two sessions: September-December and January-May. Membership fee for each session is $75.00 per person. Dawn is for everyone regardless of their financial situation so if you are unable to pay the membership fee, please contact us and we can reduce fees or waive them entirely if need be.

As we are still seeing high Covid numbers as we enter 2023, proof of at least two Covid vaccinations are required to participate in-person. Masking is not required but is encouraged for those who wish to remain masked. For those unable to be vaccinated or otherwise unable to attend in-person at this time, rehearsals continue to be available to attend on Zoom. For those wishing to Zoom into rehearsals, please contact us and we will provide you the Zoom link.

Dawn Chorus is conducted by RJ Chambers and sings a variety of music from contemporary to classical.

There are no auditions for Dawn but all singers (in-person) are required to do a voice placement with RJ to ensure you are placed in the correct section and next to complementary singers to optimize our overall sound. The voice placement is about five minutes in length and includes some vocal exercises that RJ will lead and a short conversation.
